Tallahassee AIDS Walk

 September 15, 2022 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Price: No cost

The Tallahassee AIDS Walk draws hundreds of participants each year. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, September 15th, 2022 at the Southwood Nature Trail and begins at 6:30pm. Our DOH Leon team is joining Big Bend Cares in celebrating the 32nd Annual AIDS Walk this year, and the theme is “March into the Future”, a progression beyond the immense hardships of recent years, to pick up the pieces and rebuild a path to a brighter future.

This event is a celebration of all of those who have fought so hard to fight the spread of HIV/AIDS. All proceeds will go towards helping Big Bend Cares, Neighborhood Medical Center, and Bond Community Health Center provide direct-care services for our clients and HIV prevention and education for the entire Big Bend region.

Participants can pre-order shirts until until September 2nd. After this date, shirts will no longer be available on this site, but extra shirts will be for sale the day of the event for $15.

Individual community members, school and university groups, companies, and faith groups can register to walk as individuals or as part of a team. Walkers are encouraged to also become fundraisers and help us reach our goal of $10,000. After a memorial walk around the Southwood Nature Trail (starting at the intersection of Ivy Green Trail and Grove Park Dr.), we will gather to listen to speakers and music.

Please note registration ends September 15 at 11:30 a.m.
