DOH Leon Extends COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Through July

DOH Leon Extends COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Operations

Tallahassee, FL—The Florida Department of Health in Leon County (DOH Leon) will continue operating its COVID-19 vaccination clinic every Tuesday through the end of July.

The DOH Leon vaccination clinic is located at:

Roberts & Stevens (R&S) Clinic

1515 Old Bainbridge Road

Tallahassee, FL 32303

Operating hours: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

“The COVID-19 vaccine continues to prove itself as the greatest weapon that we have in fighting this virus, so we are staying open in an effort to continue growing vaccination rates in Leon County,” said DOH Leon Health Officer Claudia Blackburn.

Most recent data indicate 50% of all eligible Leon County residents have received at least one vaccine dose.  Since the COVID-19 vaccine rollout began in December 2020, DOH Leon’s COVID-19 vaccination clinic has worked with key community partners to administer nearly 30,000 doses of vaccine.

COVID-19 vaccines will be available without the need for an appointment to everyone 12 years of age and older.

“We cannot stress enough the great impact that the vaccine is having in slowing the spread of COVID-19, and strongly encourage parents and guardians to have those 12 and over vaccinated quickly,” added Blackburn.

Parents or guardians are expected to provide consent for 12 to 17-year olds who are receiving the Pfizer vaccine and they must plan to be present during the vaccination.

In addition to the Pfizer vaccine, the DOH Leon vaccination site will be administering the Johnson & Johnson and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, both available for anyone age 18 and over.

For any questions, contact the Leon County COVID-19 Call Center at 850-404-6300, Option 1. The helpline is staffed Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
