FAMU COVID-19 TESTING SITE SHORTENS HOURS FOR MOTHER'S DAY

FAMU COVID-19 STAFF

In observance of Mother’s Day weekend, the Florida A & M University-Bond Community Health Center COVID-19 testing site is reducing its hours.

This Sunday May 10, the timeframe for testing will be shortened from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.  The site at Bragg Memorial Stadium will resume all regular operating guidelines the following Monday.

The stadium is located at 1500 Wahnish Way in Tallahassee.

Individuals who believe they have COVID-19 symptoms can book an appointment or walk up for testing. Residents can call 850-404-6399 to schedule an appointment. No physician referral is needed.

Other community partners on-site supporting the walk-up testing operations include the Florida Department of Health in Leon County and the Florida National Guard.

All involved are committed to bringing forth testing models that meet communities where they are.

The testing site will continue in operations until at least through May 14 and may be extended longer on a weekly basis depending on the traffic.

Since the site opened on April 25, more than 2,500 tests have been completed.

The walk-up site increased daily capacity to 300 tests per day after initially starting with a 200 daily testing maximum.
