In addition, DOH Leon continues to urge all eligible individuals (including those who have already had COVID-19 and recovered) to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Per the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective, and they protect people from getting sick or severely ill with COVID-19. For frequently asked questions about COVID-19 vaccination, visit: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/faq.html

Leon County has nearly 50 locations providing vaccine throughout the county, and many of them offer the Pfizer vaccine which is the only vaccine authorized for use by people ages 12 to 17 years old.

The DOH Leon COVID-19 vaccination clinic operates on Tuesdays from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Pfizer, Moderna, and the Johnson & Johnson vaccines are available at our clinic located at 1515 Old Bainbridge Road. The department has directly vaccinated more than 30,000 individuals since activating our clinics last December.
